THE MINISTER FOR INDUSTRY AND TRADE INAUGURATES NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SIDO
The Minister for Industry and Trade Hon. Dr. Cyril Chami (MP) has inaugurated a new board of directors of SIDO at SIDO Headquarters. During the meeting with the Board members, the Minister insisted to setup strategic plans to speed up the creation of small industries in the country through the proper implementation of the available programs. Moreover, the Minister emphasized the need to abide with the existing rules and regulations to ensure good governance and accountability of the Organization. Prior to the Board meeting, the Minister was received by workers thereby he hailed the Management team and SIDO workers as a whole, for working harmoniously and cooperatively to achieve the responsibilities of the organization. He made this remarks following the gratitude made by the TUICO chairman to the management for maintaining peace and tranquility as no riot has been witnessed at SIDO working places. In addition, the Minister advocated SIDO workers to put more efforts on promoting small and medium enterprises to ensure enormous achievements towards the National Millennium Goals.
