SIDO GOES AGAIN INTERNATIONAL TO MOZAMBIQUE
With the support from International Trade Centre- ITC Geneva, the Executive Director and one senior staff of IPEME-Mozambique recently visited SIDO to learn on the extensive experience the organization has in servicing SMEs. Some of issues revolved from this visit were for some IPEME members to come to SIDO for a short course addressing areas of food processing and food safety including processing of few food products which have economic significance to the participants and Mozambique as a country. The four participants from Mozambique included; one team leader working in one village one product (OVOP) project known in Mozambique as CaDUP. The other 3 participants were food processors who came to learn how to add value to their products in terms of quality and packaging but also, how to market and sell them locally and internationally. The training was designed in such a way that at the end of the course they would be able to improve on the businesses undertaken in Mozambique.
