The Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) was established in 1988. It was initiated with the support of the Tanzanian Government to strengthen the private sector. The establishment of the TCCIA was an important step in moving on from a centralized, planned economy towards a more open, mixed economy giving full scope to privately owned enterprises and farms.

UNDP is the UN's global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help build a better life. UNDP started its operations in Tanzania after signing of Standard Basic Assistance Agreement (SBAA) with the Government in 30th May 1978.

Tools for Self-Reliance (TFSR) supports workers in some of the world's poorest countries. They help grassroots development projects in Africa by providing refurbished hand tools and sewing machines. TFSR volunteers around the United Kingdom ship tools worth more than £500,000 each year to partner organizations in Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, Zambia, Sierra Leone and Ghana. From the Aberdeen to the Channel Islands, there are 56 groups refurbishing tools and 180 tool collection points.In 24th November, 2015 Rukwa received 51 Kits from TFSR
